Event QR code

Share the when and where in one scan, with a button that adds it to their calendar. If the time changes, update it and every printed poster stays right.

What is an event QR code?

An event QR code opens a page with your event's date, time, place and details, plus buttons that add it to Apple Calendar, Outlook or Google Calendar. If the time or venue changes, you update the page and every printed poster and invitation stays right.

What’s inside the code

https://go.relyqr.com/k7m2p9qa

The code holds a short RelyQr link to your event page; Add to calendar downloads a standard .ics file, and Google Calendar opens with the event filled in. Because the page lives online, you can change it any time and the printed code keeps working.

How to make an event QR code

  1. 1

    Add the details

Name, start and end, where, a description and a link for tickets or more info.

  2. 2

    Style it

A “Get tickets” frame or your event colours.

  3. 3

    Create and print

Sign in free. Edit the time or place later without reprinting.

What happens when someone scans it

People see the date, time and place, with Add to calendar (Apple Calendar and Outlook) and Google Calendar buttons, plus a link to your event page.

Always dynamic

Event codes are always dynamic, so a new time or venue never means reprinting. You also see how many people scanned each poster.

No watermark, and RelyQr codes never expire, on any plan. Static vs dynamic, explained

QR codes for events

Printing an event QR code

On posters people read from 1 to 2 m, 10 to 20 cm wide. On invitations and badges, 2.5 to 3 cm. QR code size chart

  • Set the end time so calendars block the right slot.
  • Use analytics to see which posters brought the most scans.

Event QR code not working?

The time looks wrong in someone's calendar
Events keep the time zone set when you created them, and calendars convert it to the guest's time. Check the event's time zone.
Add to calendar does nothing on Android
It downloads an .ics file; on Android, the Google Calendar button is the quicker path.
The venue changed after printing
Edit the event; the next scan shows the new place.

Apple Calendar and Outlook through Add to calendar, and Google Calendar through its own button.

What if the date changes?

Edit the event; everyone who scans sees the new date.

Which time zone is shown?

The event's own, saved when you create it, so the time is right wherever people scan from.
